County tax distribution files, 1951-[ongoing].

According to the Alabama Administrative Code, 355-1-1, "The Division of Control and Accounts is responsible for maintaining all books, records and accounts of the State Treasury which relate to the finances of the State government." These files constitute a record of the counties' share of revenue collected by the counties from gasoline taxes, motor vehicle licenses, and other revenue sources. A copy of this record is attached to the Disbursement Voucher (S-9-11) when the payment is made. The information on the printouts includes, in county order, the monthly share for each county, share for the cities within the county, net county share, city share for the year-to-date, and the county share for the year-to-date.
